Accessibility statement
Last updated: 30 October 2026
We want everyone to be able to shop with us, including people with disabilities. This statement applies to the online shop ortopedbutikken.no, operated by NordWell Group AB. It is based on the Norwegian rules on universal design of ICT and the European Accessibility Act.
About the online shop
In the online shop you can search for and read about products, add them to your cart, pay and track your order. You can contact us by email, contact form and chat, and you can withdraw from a purchase or return a product.
How accessible is the online shop?
Our goal is for the online shop to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA (part of the standard EN 301 549). Today it partially meets the requirements. This assessment is based on our own review in October 2026 of the home page, category and product pages, the cart and the contact page.
What works
- The online shop can be used with a keyboard, and the element in focus is clearly highlighted.
- There is a link to skip directly to the page content.
- Images have alternative text, and buttons and form fields have descriptive names.
- The pages adapt to mobile and tablet, and you can zoom up to 200% without losing content.
- The page language is set, so screen readers read the text with the correct pronunciation.
- The checkout is run by Shopify, which works to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA.
Known limitations
- Some text has too little contrast with the background, for example the previous price in red and some grey and green text.
- Some alternative texts are not descriptive enough or are written in a different language than the page.
- Some icon buttons, such as arrows in image carousels, lack a descriptive name.
- Some features come from external suppliers and have not been fully tested with screen readers: the chat, the cookie banner, pop-ups and product suggestions.
- Manufacturers’ instructions are sometimes only available as PDF and are not always accessible.
We are working to fix these limitations and set requirements for our suppliers.
